Building Community Resilience: Addressing Radicalization to Violence

Please join us for April’s session with the Somali Health Coalition, Building Community Resilience: Addressing Radicalization to Violence in the Twin Cities. We are lucky to have US Attorney Andrew M. Luger presenting this month about this important topic. Mr. Luger was formally nominated to be the United States Attorney for the District of Minnesota on November 21, 2013, unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate on February 12, 2014, and sworn in on February 14, 2014. Shortly after his swearing-in as United States Attorney, Mr. Luger set his priorities for the office, which include prosecuting identity theft and white collar fraud, heroin and other drug trafficking, human trafficking, gang violence, and terrorism. In addition to investigating and prosecuting cases, Mr. Luger has expanded the community outreach efforts of the United States Attorney’s Office, and he regularly meets with advocacy groups and communities engaged in crime prevention activities.

Andy will be joined by psychotherapist, Hodan Heello with Minnesota Carepartners. Hodan will be speaking about her work with building awareness of youth mental health with Shanta Link.
